OX2 Wind, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Swedish OX2 Group, is one of Scandinavia's largest project developers in onshore wind energy. Since 1991 OX2 Wind AB has built up an expertise within the entire value chain of wind power – from project development, through financing, sales and construction to technical and commercial management.
In 2017, the fifth largest onshore wind farm project in Europe "Valhalla" with 357 MW and 85 turbines in Sweden was developed by OX2 and sold to Aquila Capital from Germany. Other investors for the remaining 700 MW under construction include IKEA, Allianz Capital Partners and Stadtwerke München.
In addition to the successful realization of projects, OX2 has management contracts for more than 1100 MW and ensures smooth, technical and economic operation. The reason for these successes is the low-LCOE approach (Levelized Costs of Electricity), which OX2 always pursues. For this, the local offices in France, Germany and Finland make an important contribution in addition to the headquarter of OX2 in Stockholm, Sweden.
