The University of Applied Sciences West Coast (FHW) is a young, modern and innovative University in northern Germany. The FHW was founded on the initiative of entrepreneurs and politicians of the region in 1993. Currently there are more than 180 people employed at the FHW. In the year 2000, the FHW moved to the actual campus in Heide. The University cooperates closely with the regional economy and maintains numerous national and international relationships, a.o. to 40 partner Universities worldwide. There are currently about 2,000 students registered in 15 degree programs in economics, engineering, real estate industry and tourism. The study program is constantly expanded.
