The use of hydrogen, produced on the basis of renewable energies, is an ideal opportunity to further decarbonise industry. Offshore wind parks can also generate hydrogen as a “waste product”. The Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency of Germany recently announced special-use areas for this purpose in tenders.
