Smart Cities – a German-Indian comparison 5th India Week in Hamburg

Smart Cities from a German and Indian perspective are on the programme at the “Smart Cities and Renewable Energy Convention” from 11 to 13 September 2013. As part of the 3rd Hamburg India Week, the EEHH Cluster is organising a diverse event with German and Indian speakers.

The title of the podium discussion is “Green Energy and Industrial Corridors in India – the Future Role of Smart Cities and Renewables”, and will be probably attended by representatives of the Suzlon Group and the Tata Group from India and experts from the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), the KfW promotional bank for German industry, the Fraunhofer Institute for Silicon Technology (ISIT), the Helmholtz Association, the Deutsche Bahn AG and the TÜV India. Cluster member Osborne Clarke is providing the rooms.

Representatives from the Confederation of Indian Industry, the Indian Wind Turbine Manufacturers Association and the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corporation will talk about Indian Smart Cities and renewable energies projects. The programme will be completed by visits to renewable energies projects in the Hamburg metropolitan region and a gala dinner with the Indian consul general.
