What contribution could sector coupling make to supply security? Which legal prerequisites would be required? These and many more questions will be answered by speakers at the ‘Sector coupling in north Germany: wind energy - the way to success’ panel discussion on 13 September, a side event at the Husum Wind 2017 trade fair. The Renewable Energy Hamburg Cluster is organising the side event in conjunction with the research project NEW 4.0 (North German Energy Transition 4.0) and the EE.SH clusters.

The core theme of the event is information and communication technology. Due to the fluctuating nature of power generation from renewable energy, we need a communication network that connects generation, consumption and the grid.

The panel consists of: Prof Dr Werner Beba, University of Applied Sciences Hamburg, Dr Martin Grundmann, Arge-Netz and Dr Jörg Prepeneit, plant manager at Trimet Aluminium SE

Date: Wednesday, 13 September 2017, 2.30 p.m. to 4.00 p.m.

Venue: Husum Wind 2017, room: Auditorium, max. 200 attendants
