Nordex Group receives new order for 110 MW from Eksim Enerji in Türkiye

The Nordex Group has received a new order from Eksim Enerji A.Ş. in Türkiye for the supply and installation of 16 N175/6.X wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 110 MW. The turbines for the Balıkesir-3 wind farm will be erected on tubular steel towers with a hub height of 119 meters and will be delivered in the cold-climate version.

As well as the delivery and installation of the turbines, the contract includes a premium service agreement with a term of ten years, ensuring the long-term availability of the turbines. The wind farm will be built in the Sındirgı district of Balıkesir province. The site is characterised by good wind conditions and altitudes between 800 and 950 meters above sea level. Eksim Enerji A.Ş. is a long-standing customer of the Nordex Group, with an ongoing partnership since 2010. The company’s wind energy portfolio comprises a total installed capacity of 832.8 MW.

Türkiye is an important market for the Nordex Group. The company has been the market leader there since 2017, with a market share of around 34 percent. All turbines supplied for the Balıkesir-3 wind farm are fully compatible with the requirements for local value creation in accordance with the YEKA-2025 specification, thus supporting domestic production as well as local value creation in the country.
