HUSUM WIND, the leading technology trade fair for the renewable energy industry for the German market, has a new manager. On 1 October, Diana Haagen was appointed HUSUM WIND Project Manager, replacing Claudia Brinz who previously held this role.

Haagen has extensive international experience in the B2B segment of the trade fair industry. For over ten years, she worked for Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH as a project manager for maritime trade shows, for example. Most recently, she handled the launch and positioning of the SMM overseas subsidiaries, SMM India and SMM Istanbul. Prior to that, she worked in the overseas department, where she was responsible for organising German pavilions, which are implemented around the world as part of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action’s (BMWi) overseas trade fair programme. In recent years, the certified event manager has been self-employed.

Klaus Liermann, Managing Director of Messe Husum and Congress GmbH & Co. KG, said of this new appointment: “We’re delighted to welcome Diana Haagen, an experienced manager and expert in the trade fair industry. She was born in Husum and has followed the development of HUSUM WIND since its early days. We’re delighted that she’s accepted the role of Project Manager for this trade show.”

The HUSUM WIND website (www.husumwind.com) has now been relaunched, featuring a new design, logo and slogan. The “Transforming Energy” slogan and modern design reflect its evolution from Germany’s first international wind energy fair to the leading technology trade fair for the renewable energy industry.
