The Future & Innovation Hall is adding another 3,000 m² to the trade fair / Digital+ Area provides a dedicated platform for cyber security, digitalisation and AI / Hydrogen is another key topic.

A new facility, the Future & Innovation Hall, will be opened at the HUSUM WIND trade fair from 16 to 19 September 2025, where exhibitors will showcase the latest trends and revolutionary future topics. The new hall adds 3,000 m² to the current exhibition space at HUSUM WIND. In line with the trade fair motto of ‘Vorsprung durch Innovation – Progress through Innovation’, the Future & Innovation Hall provides space for established innovative companies, research and development projects, best practice examples and young start-ups to present their work at a joint stand.

Digital+ Area: Dedicated platform for digitalisation

The new hall has a separate area for digital topics from within the industry, including cyber security and AI. It will feature the latest technological IT developments for the wind industry. Around 40 companies will exhibit their digital products and services across 1,000 m². Specialist forums and networking opportunities – including themed gatherings, workshops and guided tours – will add to the programme in the Digital+ Area. The Digital+ events will be presented by Mohamed Harrou, an expert for cyber security and digitalisation.

Focus on hydrogen: New Hydrogen Area in Hall 2

Hydrogen, an important future topic, is another priority at HUSUM WIND 2025. Around 20 exhibitors representing the entire value chain – from production and storage to the use of green hydrogen – will gather in the Hydrogen Area in Hall 2 to present their products and services across 650 m². Partners such as the watt_2.0 association and WindAdvice will organise a supporting programme with forums and other activities, while the trade fair will put on guided themed tours. Denmark, as the partner country, will contribute to the thematic focus with exhibitors from the sector, expert talks in the bilingual (German/English) lecture programme and the German-Danish Energy Dialogue. Trade visitors can expect different sub-topics every day:

•    Tuesday, 16 September: Research and Technology Transfer
•    Wednesday, 17 September: Technology, Components and Use Cases
•    Thursday, 18 September: Infrastructure
•    Friday, 19 September: Needed Skills and Recruitment

High demand, free, sustainable shuttle service throughout the region

Over 85% of the exhibition space in the five halls has already been booked around nine months before the start of the trade fair. “We are confident of welcoming a record number of exhibitors after the pandemic years. If demand remains so high, we will be able to expand the current halls and the new Future & Innovation Hall”, says Pascal Hofer, Project Manager at HUSUM WIND. Trade fair visitors will be able to enjoy climate-friendly electric and hydrogen-powered shuttle services at no additional cost. The service will include pick-up points in neighbouring towns such as Flensburg, Schleswig and Heide in Schleswig-Holstein and ensure sustainable transfer throughout the entire catchment area of the trade fair.
