15th Hamburg Offshore Wind Conference Offshore wind of tomorrow - Market integration by next generation technology

Market integration through new offshore technologies is in focus at the 15th Hamburg Offshore Wind Conference (HOW). For the second time, the Renewable Energy Hamburg Cluster and the DNV GL will work together to organise the HOW, on 10 and 11 April, 2018.

Giles Dickson, CEO Wind Europe; Andreas Nauen, Head of Offshore at Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy; Prof. Dr. Kurt Rohrig, Fraunhofer IWES, and Andreas Wagner, Managing Director of the Deutsche Offshore Stiftung, will discuss the role of offshore against the background of the German energy transition and the political framework conditions on 10 April.

Times are changing! – The new role for offshore wind energy?” Under this motto, well-known industry representatives will present new technological developments in the offshore area, including Torben Hvid Larsen, CTO MHI Vestas, and Dr Jürgen Geißinger, CEO Senvion SE.

Wilfried Breuer, Tennet TSO, and Hendrik Stiesdal as a longstanding wind energy pioneer, will also venture to take a “visionary outlook”. Sessions on “Love it or hate it...! Offshore wind and the dependency on the power market” and “With North Sea experience into the wider world….?” will round off the programme.
