“Hamburg – Germany’s Gate to Wind Energy” EEHH at the EWEA in Copenhagen

The EWEA 2012 in Copenhagen offered a range of highlights besides the conference programme, such as the “Global Wind Energy Council’s Annual Global Market Report”, a new study documenting the role of the wind industry in the European economy. Renewable Energy Hamburg also participated as an exhibitor at Europe’s leading wind conference from 16 to 19 April 2012.

“We are pleased to have participated at the EWEA trade fair and conference for the first time. With our slogan ‘Hamburg – Germany’s Gate to Wind Energy’ we emphasized the role of the Hamburg metropolitan region as a key industry hub in North Germany,” says Jan Rispens, Managing Director of Renewable Energy Hamburg. The Cluster hosted a reception together with the Hamburg Business Development Corporation (HWF) and the Danish law firm Bang + Regnarsen.

A number of Cluster members participated as exhibitors as well: 8.2 Consulting AG, Anemos GmbH, Areva Wind, EnBW Erneuerbare Energien GmbH, GL Renewables Certification, LM Wind Power, Nordex SE, PMSS, PowerWind GmbH, REpower SE, Siemens AG, TÜV Nord SysTec GmbH & Co. KG and Vestas A/S. Altogether, around 500 companies and organisations participated in the trade fair which attracted roughly 10,250 visitors.
