HH2 Europe offers a concept for utilization of the Hamburg-Moorburg coal-fired power station as part of the energy transition contribution of the metropolis of Hamburg and the region of Northern Germany. Renewable energies are being
integrated into those sectors that consume large amounts of energy and have so far emitted a particularly large amount of CO2, namely heat and mobility.
We configure the interaction of three innovative, already tried and tested in small scale future technologies for the generation and storage of green heat, green hydrogen and green peak electricity.
This concept preserves the energy-economic function and importance of the location, while at the same time ensuring a completely renewable supply of electricity, heat, process steam and hydrogen.
