Hamburg Aviation

Founded in 2011 as a public private partnership, the cluster Hamburg Aviation aims to strengthen the potential for growth in the aviation industry in Hamburg. They focus particularly on projects in research and development. Their 80 members from the business and academic sectors include Airbus, Lufthansa Technik, Hamburg Airport, Technical University Hamburg-Harburg and the "DLR", the German Aerospace Centre. Synergy effects with the Renewable Energy Hamburg Cluster exist through issues such as biofuels and lightweight construction.
