The German Wind Energy Association (BWE), founded in 1996, is one of the world’s largest renewable energy associations. For years, it has been working successfully towards an efficient expansion of wind energy in Germany. It collaborates in this with international federations such as the European Wind Energy Association (EWEA) and the World Wind Energy Association (WWEA). Sylvia Pilarsky-Gosch is the association’s chairman. The Landesverband Hamburg section of BWE is a member of the Cluster Renewable Energy Hamburg. The association’s flagship publication is the journal “neue energie”.
