European Energy develops and implements projects in the fields of wind energy, solar PV, battery storage and Power-to-X. Founded in 2004 in Denmark, the company is now one of the world’s leading renewable energy developers, active in 25 countries.

Since 2004, European Energy has also been contributing to the energy transition in Germany. Around 80 employees based in Hamburg, Potsdam, Teuchern, Leipzig and Wiesbaden are driving forward the planning, construction and operation of wind and solar projects – from the initial idea to electricity generation. We work closely with farmers, municipalities, businesses and local stakeholders to bring our projects to life.

Our aim: to balance climate action, energy security and economic viability. A key milestone is the world’s first industrial-scale e-methanol plant in Kassø, Denmark, which we commissioned in early 2025. With extensive expertise in renewable energy, carbon capture and Power-to-X, we continue to advance the energy transition and are developing a global pipeline of hydrogen and methanol projects.
