THE 16TH INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM on District Heating and Cooling at the HafenCity University Hamburg

For more than 30 years now, the International Symposium on District Heating and Cooling is the world’s meeting place for district energy experts from academia and industry. It‘s where new knowledge is shared and new networks are formed: in the event halls, in and around the sessions, along the industry tour and in various special events.

In 2018, the 16th International Symposium on District Heating and Cooling will be hosted by the HCU Hamburg.In Europe, District Heating was first implemented in Hamburg in 1893.
Today Hamburg is one of Germany’s leading cities for innovation in district energy generation, distribution and heat-power integration. Continuing this tradition is a challenge for Hamburg as well as for many other cities. The 16th International Symposium on District Heating and Cooling focuses on solutions, innovation and best-practice examples which make districtenergy a cornerstone of a sustainable energy future.
