Banu Bölükemini (Aslan), Partner of Bezen & Partners, which is a Turkish law firm headquartered in Istanbul, Turkey, will give a presentation on
an analysis of the Turkey’s offshore wind market.
Turkey continues its efforts in the wind energy sector and strives to realise many more projects to utilise its wind potential more efficiently. There are currently no offshore wind farms in Turkey. To overcome this, the General Directorate of Renewable Energy announced that it has designated new potential renewable energy resource areas for offshore wind farms to be tendered in 2018. We will review the upcoming details of the offshore wind farm projects and assess legal challenges whilst developing offshore wind farms in the Republic of Turkey.
