DNV GL side events at the Wind Energy 2016 - DNV GL's Joint Industry Project “Offshore wind turbines in service”
The side events are being held at the Messe Hamburg, room St. Petersburg DNV GL's Joint Industry Project “Offshore wind turbines in service” DNV GL will introduce the joint industry project Offshore wind turbines in service including the project objectives, scope and deliverables. The aim of the project is to answer the following questions: • What is the right frequency for inspections (e.g. every 2, 4 or 6 years)? • What extent of inspections is needed (e.g. 20% of all welds)? • What are the most efficient examination methods for offshore inspection (e.g. diver versus diving robot)? • How do we want to report conformity with existing standards? • How can we use the data gained up to now from the monitoring?
